My client, a leading PE-backed tech company, are looking for a Management Accountant to join their growing finance team in Runcorn. This role offers an ambitious accountant the chance to be part of the central reporting team, supporting senior management in decision making and strategy development.
Key responsibilities-
- Support with preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts.
- Support through the year-end audit cycle.
- Conduct financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Report departmental actuals vs budget/forecast.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation.
- Handle all month end duties including accruals, prepayments and journal posting.
- Fulfil ad-hoc requirements to support the team.
- Lead by example and model behaviour in line with company values.
- Take active responsibility for own career development and performance.
Ideal candidate-
- Part qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
- Minimum three years' experience in a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Excel for high-level analysis of financial data.
- Complex reconciliation abilities.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of accounting systems including Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Strong analysis, organisation and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to quickly adapt to internal processes and effectively apply methodology, standards and best practice at all times.
