Branch Sales Manager

Are you a Branch Sales Manager looking to work for an industry leader in manufacturing and retail who has branches across the UK? Your main function will be to learn the skills of Branch Sales Manager and undertake any relevant training. To achieve sales/margin targets whilst managing and motivating the Branch Team, with a focus on customer service. You will be rewarded with an employer that are Investors in staff training, current technology, offering a good work to life balance, and a business that supports their staff. The hours 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Salary £32,000 -£35,000.

Branch Sales Manager Duties:

  • Day to day running of branch, operations and team.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve internal/external sales and margins ensuring targets are achieved.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential new customers.
  • Ensure systems are in place and followed regarding maintaining stock inventory in the Branch stockroom.
  • Control the Branch stock of parts within the agreed stocking/budgetary guidelines.
  • Actively sell and promote company products including parts, associated equipment and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing trade and retail customers.
  • Maintain customer record system detailing sales, leads, enquiries, follow-ups and general prospects.
  • Build knowledge of the products supplied, to gain area penetration of these products by personal contact, telephone calls and promotions utilisng other members of staff where necessary.
  • Ensure branch is stocked with products including comprehensive leaflets promoting consistent branding.
  • Carry out and control stocktaking as determined by the Company ensuring all staff participate as required.
  • Be trained and operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck where necessary within the branch. e.g. unloading stock and deliveries.
  • Maintain and promote company Health and Safety, procedures and protocols.
  • Carry out recruitment in line with recruitment policy and procedure, person specification and budget.
  • Perform staff one to ones, personal development plans and training. Carry out disciplinary processes and procedures as required.
  • Manage and control timekeeping and attendance, holiday authorisation of all staff within the Branch.
  • Responsible for open and closing branch.
  • Any other duties as is deemed reasonable on request.

The Ideal Branch Sales Manager would meet the following:

  • Required must hold a full clean UK Driving License.
  • Must have previous management experience, commercially managing a business unit / branch within the trade/ retail sector.
  • Effective management of the team and resources, lead by example and have the skill to mentor and motivate.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse financial and statistical information.
  • You'll have an innovative and agile approach to identify growth opportunities.
  • An excellent track record in both selling, generating new business, be self-driven and motivated and have a proven track record of working towards and achieving targets and KPIs.
