Financial Planning Analyst

Equifind are working with a highly regarded financial services business based in the City who are looking to add a Financial Accountant to the team.

With a strong track record of growth in recent years they are now diversifying operations into the tech industry through multiple acquisitions. You will be joining a lean and nimble operation team where you will report into the Head of Finance, and ultimately be responsible for a group of businesses.

Key deliverables include:

  • Budget-setting at a Group and BU/BL level, to incorporate P&L, cashflow and balance sheet
  • Rolling forecasts as above, including the managing of a diverse range of inputs, identifying risks & opportunities, providing insight and commentary as required
  • Compile monthly MI packs for provision to the Executive Team & the Board
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Assistance with on-going systems development and implementation ensuring the benefits are understood, documented and realised across the group as a whole
  • Design and implementation of various reporting dashboards with relevant KPIs for the Group and BU/BL reporting using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Business Central
  • Enhance data integrity and reporting controls to enable agile scenario reporting and analysis
  • Analysing past financial performance, preparing competitor analysis, and examining market trends along with commentary for management
  • Analysing previous budgets and forecasts and performing variance analysis to explain discrepancies
  • Prepare specific analysis and special projects as required

Application Criteria:

  • ACCA/CIMA or ACA qualified
  • Posses a minimum of 0-1 years post qualified experience in industry
  • Financial services experience, or a strong desire to enter financial services
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment
  • Strong communication skills

Compensation:

  • £60-65,000 base salary
  • Annual performance related bonus
