Warehouse Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will assist the Goods In Team Leader with day-to-day warehouse duties. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-player mindset.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Load and unload lorries/containers.
- Receive materials into the warehouse, ensuring checks on quantity and quality before storage.
- Efficiently move goods within and around the warehouse.
- Assist with daily cycle checks and participate in the end-of-year stock take.
- Palletise and wrap finished goods for dispatch.
- Adhere to the original working hours (Mon-Fri) 8:00am-4:30pm, with current adjustments to (Mon-Thur 7:30-4:30PM, Fri 08:00-2:15PM).
- Take designated breaks, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Driving Licence.
- Experience in Goods In/Warehousing.
- Forklift (Counterbalance) certification is desired but not essential.
- Familiarity with Sage 200 or stock management software is preferred.
- Strong team player with good work ethics.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in a warehouse environment.
- Willingness to complete in-house Health and Safety training.
