We are currently seeking a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor, based in Preston, who operate on the North West region. Our client works predominately within the new build and refurbishment sector, working across multiple sectors such as; education, public and leisure buildings, blue light, healthcare and maintenance. The successful individual will be joining an experienced preconstruction team where you'll assist with the running of the department.
This is a great opportunity for pre-university individual who is seeking an opportunity to study on a professional RICS degree apprenticeship development programme whilst gaining valuable work-based industry experience.
Trainee Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
- Collaborating with the surveying and estimating teams to prepare tenders for subcontractors, ensuring timely submission.
- Supporting the smooth administration of a dynamic estimating team and providing assistance to team members.
- Coordinating with estimating team members, subcontractors, and suppliers to help prepare tender bids.
- Managing the receipt and organisation of drawings and plans, including maintaining drawing registers.
- Conducting site visits as required.
- Handling electronic tender and contract documents, as well as other digital communications, throughout the tender and bid process.
- Assisting and coordinating with other company employees and management as needed.

- Salary dependent on experience, with the typical industry range for this position being £22k - £32k
