My client one of the UK's Top 100 accountancy firms and a member of MGI Worldwide. Chartered Accountants is looking for a Junior Administrator to join its profession financial services team based in Taunton Somerset.

  • Working hours 8am to 4pm, but there is flex on this. The office is open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm Friday

You will be focused on delivery of work in line with daily tasks and are responsible for ensuring that advisers and clients receive the best administration support; pro-actively searching for opportunities to add value. You will also utilise and further develop your skills to assist your less experienced colleagues to harness a culture where the team continually thrive.

Key Objectives of the Junior Administrator: -

  • Good working knowledge of key software

o Ensuring knowledge is always kept up to date

o An understanding of how to complete and keep up to date key data and reporting utilising the current back- office systems of intelligent office (IO) and venture capital accounting software (VC)

  • Responding to Advisor/client queries promptly
  • Building on technical training to provide specific and accurate responses to queries raised by Advisers, colleagues, or clients
  • Vocalisation of any issues arising or ideas/solutions that will help the firm promote its core principals or working practices
  • Actively exploring the opportunities available to get involved with work in other service lines or offices. This can include participation in the firm's steering committees or advisory groups
  • Seeking involvement in projects to develop internal processes
  • Taking an active role in team meetings and discussions
  • Complete ownership and timely completion of your own work/tasks with effective reporting and communication with your peers
  • Accurately maintain client files via VC
  • Consistently demonstrating going the extra mile for Advisers/clients to exceed their service expectations
  • Maintain your technical knowledge
  • Assisting with administrative duties as required by the firm.

The ideal candidate for the Junior administrator position must have: -

  • GCSE/A level standard: - including English language and mathematics
  • Self-motivation
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent client service
  • Excellent computer skills including familiarity and an understanding of the relevant statutory compliance issues affecting the Firm including, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Money Laundering and the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Professional, personable, presentable, and punctual
  • Good technical knowledge of Client products
  • Organised, accurate, and able to plan the use of time efficiently
  • Timely execution of all new business
  • Maintaining good practice with clearing daily task lists
  • Continually update the client filing into VC
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with Advisers, clients, team members and colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills.
