An opportunity to join a rapidly expanding general insurance broking business that has diversified, grown their UK branch network and significantly increased GWP in recent years.
The Commercial Account Broker will join a small and friendly team who work in a collaborative, team orientated manner.
You will be based in their Northampton branch office and work with a diverse range of different businesses.
Role and Context
- As an Account Broker, your primary responsibility is to efficiently address client and insurer requests.
- Proactively seeking opportunities to exceed expectations, you will negotiate renewals with insurers to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, emphasizing high renewal retention rates.
- This role requires a dynamic approach, dedication to client satisfaction, and collaboration with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the team and the company while adhering to regulatory and ethical standards.
- Utilise delegated schemes and open market options to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
- Clientele is as diverse as it gets, ranging from one-person ventures to accountants managing five offices and fleets. The variety of clients keeps our knowledge and work dynamic, making each day a new and exciting challenge.
- One unique aspect of the team is that there are no account executives. Instead, the team rely on the collective expertise and collaborative effort of the team members to cater to the needs of our clients.
What you need to show
- A minimum of 2 years general insurance broking experience
- Knowledge of varied commercial insurance classes
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritise your workload
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
- Be a good team-player with a drive to succeed.
- Negotiation skills
