About the Client
We are a small Market Research agency, based in Oxfordshire. We conduct bespoke ad-hoc research projects for customers worldwide, these are mostly large corporate companies like Britvic, Nestlé, Unilever, Mars and Pizza Express to name a few. Simply put - we help them to make the best business decisions by listening to the people who buy (or could buy) their products or services.
We have two companies: which perform research amongst consumers in the leisure market and specialise in shopper research..

About the Role
Research Execs are responsible for supporting senior managers in their bidding for work and running project work. They are expected to gain an excellent grasp of our customers' subject matter, possess good analytical skills, develop effective people skills and have a high standard of English, both spoken and written.

The job holder will undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis of research and surveys results using a variety of software tools and methods.
We expect a Research Exec to be keen to learn, particularly in the areas of the design and implementation of all types of research including data analysis and the production of detailed reports in accordance with customer requirements.

As we are a small company, working effectively as part of the team is very important. However great importance is placed on the job holder being able to manage their own work and deal effectively with customers & suppliers through email, telephone, video, and face to face when required.

Main purpose of role & Skills Required:

  • To support senior managers in the running of projects under supervision
  • To manage various elements of research projects
  • To perform data analysis and create first draft presentation documents

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with all aspects of fieldwork and analysis, including technical support
  • Assist with the production of reports/presentations to customers
  • Assist with production of research materials (proposals, questionnaires, reports etc)
  • Maintain excellent customer relations at all times
  • Maintain well-structured records of project activities
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of research methodologies and the sectors in which our customers work in
  • Travel to interviews, meetings, presentations in connection with research activitie

Our ethos

  • We are a relatively small company, working with a variety of customers and projects at any one time. We work in an 'all hands on deck' way but we will never ask you to do anything we would not do ourselves.
  • We have a project based approach to our work, our office hours are formally 9:00-17:30 with one hour for lunch.
  • This is an office-based role whilst you are a trainee. Once appropriate experience has been gained, optional hybrid working is normally available.
  • Salary of £22,000-£25,000 depending upon age & experience, with 25 days paid holiday per year.
  • Following a successful 3-month probation period you will be invited to join the company pension scheme and Private Healthcare scheme on its renewal.
  • Your salary will also be reviewed at this point. In addition, we are also running a trial of a 9-day working fortnight, full details will be provided at the interview stage.
