Are you a skilled mechanical fitter looking for an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team? Our client, a large industrial equipment supplier, is seeking a Skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their assembly team responsible for the assembly and testing of their products. The role is based in Middleton.

As a Skilled Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling equipment according to company procedures. You will work closely with your colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient build process. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to conduct production tests and complete accurate test reports.

  • Monday - Friday
  • No weekends
  • Rotating 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm
  • No night shifts
  • 15% shift allowance
  • Overtime available

To be successful in this role, you must have served a recognised apprenticeship. You should have the required functional and technical knowledge and skills to accomplish the job at a high level. Additionally, you should be able to effectively manage your time and improve business processes based on immediate and future needs.

In terms of qualifications, our client is looking for candidates with an apprenticeship within a Mechanical Engineering discipline, equivalent to either City and Guilds Level 3, or NVQ Level 3. HNC/HND qualification with a Mechanical Engineering bias is also desirable.

Experience with pumps and waste water product assemblies, as well as mechanical seal knowledge, is highly valued. If you have extensive experience with PC pumps and waste water products, preferably within a service background, that would be a plus.
