This BSL Teaching Assistant role is to start Wednesday 2nd October, full time, supporting a small group of pupils in Early Years with Hearing Impairment at a primary school deaf resource base located in Levenshulme, Manchester.
- Hours - Mon to Fri 8:30am - 3:30pm.
- Start - Wednesday 2nd October
- Will continue until Christmas but could extend into 2025 or go temp-to-perm depending on the outcome of changes in the service that are expected to complete in early December.
- Location - Levenshulme, Manchester
- Pay up to £110/day depending on experience & qualification.
- Supporting children in Early Years with Hearing Impairment.
- You will need to be able to translate verbal instructions from class teachers to students.
- You DO NOT need certification in L1-3 BSL but you must have some understanding of using BSL in practice.

You will be required to support with understanding and comprehension as well provide social, emotional and behavioural support & development.

- An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be happy to apply for a new one).
- A minimum of 2 professional references.

- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
- Basic level of BSL skill.
