The Role: The Senior Finance Business Partner will deliver strategic insights to operational business units, enhancing margins and cash conversion.
This role collaborates closely with non-finance functions and operational teams to drive business improvements and strengthen control across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Commercial and Operational management to provide financial insight for better margins and faster cash conversion.
- Deliver accurate financial analysis to non-finance stakeholders.
- Develop the Finance Business Partners team.
- Collaborate with the Senior Finance Leadership Team on finance strategy.
- Support ERP optimisation within the finance team.
- Review and approve month-end reporting for contracts, ensuring timely and robust reporting to the Group.
- Minimize working capital needs through monthly debt and WIP reviews.
- Influence contract payment terms.
- Become a trusted Finance partner for commercial and operational stakeholders.
- Attend commercial reviews and project boards, driving process improvements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting, ensuring balanced and challenging targets are set and achieved.
- Validate margin estimates and cash flow forecasts for estimates and tenders.
- Drive change and improvement within the department and business processes.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and transformation initiatives as needed.
The Candidate:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Demonstrable FP&A and commercial finance experience.
- Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
- Commercial and resilient character with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong MS Office skills particularly Excel and PowerBI.
- Experience in using ERP systems.
