Tax Manager

Robert Half Cambridge are working with a practice based in St Ives who are seeking an Tax Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for corporate and income taxes for a portfolio of clients and will be their main point of contact.

This role is paying a salary of £70,000 - £85,000, depending on experience. The role offers hybrid working after probation period however a presence in the office is preferable.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing of Corporation tax computations
  • Preparation of partnership, trust and personal tax returns
  • Assisting with the development of trainees, including reviewing their work and providing feedback
  • Liaising directly with clients to clear queries
  • Liaising with third parties such as HMRC
  • Adhering to internal and statutory deadlines
  • Assisting with tax planning strategies
  • Research & Development claims
  • Advice in relation to Share based schemes

Skills and qualifications:

  • CTA qualified or qualified by experience to a similar level
  • Experience in practice
  • Experience managing a portfolio and being first point of contact for your clients
  • Experience of CCH software package preferred but not required
  • Able to manage your own workload effectively and efficiently
  • Good communication skills.
