JR190: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Bromborough, Wirral
Salary: Up To £16.03 Per Hour
Overview:
First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage time to work on assigned boats, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Ensure that all boat(s) are completed to the required quality standards.
- Effectively manage, control, and designate works orders to the appropriate team members.
- Early and proactive submission of spares requests to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Provide regular and detailed progress updates on assigned boats to the Workshop Manager or management team.
- Lead by example, motivating the team to uphold a culture of cleanliness, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Inspect and check the quality of all mechanical works, ensuring adherence to technical design drawings.
- Follow company processes and Health and Safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Be open to any other reasonable requests from the management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prioritize the health, safety, and welfare of all employees in the workshop.
- Understanding of Engineering drawing and schematics.
- Demonstrate significant self-motivation and initiative, capable of managing own workload with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication skills
- Possess technical awareness to provide support and training to other team members.
- Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Qualification
- Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
