Responsibilities:
- Implement and tune high-quality frontend code within a framework.
- Collaborate with the creative department to deliver optimal, on-time, and defect-free gaming solutions.
- Work with designers and developers to ensure games are performant and operable on both mobile and desktop platforms.
- Advocate for engineering best practices and contribute to technology decisions and architecture discussions.
- Mentor junior team members and lead on best practices in frontend development.
- Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with HTML5 and TypeScript in mobile and desktop environments.
- Proficiency with gaming/animation frameworks such as PixiJS or Phaser.
- Strong knowledge of animation techniques using WebGL or Canvas 2D APIs.
- Solid experience with GIT for version control.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of CSS, PostCSS, and SASS/SCSS.
- Familiarity with CSS frameworks like TailwindCSS and Bootstrap, and responsive design techniques.
- Background in maths, statistics, or physics, or experience in 3D development.
- Experience with JavaScript build tools (e.g., Gulp, Vite, Rollup).
- Understanding of logging and analysis tools (e.g., Elasticsearch, Rollbar, Sentry).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of an internationally-based team.
