6-Month HR Manager

  • In collaboration with HR colleagues, develop and maintain the hiring process, ensuring that it is efficient and effective and encouraging applicants.
  • Ensure that the recruitment system is kept up to date and is being used efficiently and correctly by hiring managers based in the UK
  • Support hiring managers in recruitment of employees based in the UK office, offering guidance on the development and updating of job descriptions, drafting of advertisements and carrying out interviews
  • Provide advice on visa requirements in the region and, where applicable, support employees and managers through the process to apply for work visas and permits

Employment Contracts

  • Review all UK contracts of employment to ensure accuracy, prior to sign off by the Chief Operating Officer
  • Ensure UK contracts of employment are reviewed on a regular basis and remain compliant with relevant country legislation
  • Review all pre-employment checks prior to an employee joining the organisation, especially right to work documentation and references, raising any issues with the Head of HR, as necessary
  • Carry out exit interviews for UK employees, either where they have been requested or where it is appropriate

Payroll, Pay and Benefits

  • Be responsible for managing the relationship with the UK payroll provider, raising any issues with the Head of HR in a timely manner
  • Work with our payroll providers to ensure that payroll information is sent across in a timely manner each month, thus ensuring that employees are paid correctly and on time
  • Work with the Head of HR to introduce new payroll providers as required.
  • Be responsible for checking that new employees are enrolled in the relevant pension / retirement schemes and other benefits in a timely manner.
  • Provide information on current benefits to managers and employees.

Policy and Process

  • Keep relevant HR processes under review and, with agreement of the Head of HR, introduce efficiencies and automations as appropriate, especially with regards to the HRIS (Cascade).
  • Ensure that quarterly check-ins are carried out efficiently and on time for UK employees, training managers in relation to Clear Review as required, and escalating where this is not happening
  • Advise managers on employment legislation and terms and conditions of employment as appropriate, gaining the input of the Head of HR as needed
  • Work with the Head of HR to ensure all HR policies are up-to-date and suggest introduction of new / updated policies as appropriate
  • Work with other team members to ensure that any new processes, policies, improvements have a global approach and are fit for purpose across the Group
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, particularly around GDPR

General

  • Take over the quarterly and annual reports
