Partner Financial are working with a high growth PE backed Renewable Energy business to identify an interim Finance Director. The Group is ideally positioned to continue to expand by acquisition as a result of the substantial investments made throughout its European entities.
This role is a high-profile role within the organisation and comes at a time of significant positive change for the business. The immediate need for this individual will be to support the integration of assets into the business, alongside a simplification of the structure thereafter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving simplification and reducing business risk, to deliver a more efficient and effective finance function.
- Integrating newly acquired assets into the business, ensuring structural simplification
- Coordinating the production of statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors
- Supervising the development of internal controls and compliance, this includes challenging the existing processes and identifying and mitigating all reporting risks
- Communicating the financial performance of the business to senior management, providing insightful analysis to inform decision making
- Maintaining continuous improvement of financial processes and activities.
- Ad-hoc exercises to support the Group CFO, regional finance team and group finance team
The Ideal Candidate:
- Professional accounting qualification or equivalent
- Has experience working in renewable energy or a transferable sector
- Strong people skills, confident and comfortable at engaging collaboratively in an intellectual and multinational environment at all levels
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with passion for excellence and innovation
- Have a good appreciation of core best practice financial accounting standards, policies, processes and systems
