Job Title: Recruitment Coordinator

Location: St Albans
Salary: £17.67 per hour - £19.23 per hour
Contract: Full-time Monday to Thursday 8.30 - 5pm and Friday 8.30 - 4.30 pm, 3 months interim position possibility of permanent, Hybrid one day from home.

Our client is seeking a dedicated and professional Recruitment Coordinator. The successful recruitment coordinator will play a key Pivotal role in attracting top talent to our college.

The Role:

As the Recruitment Coordinator, you will be at the heart of the recruitment process, ensuring the smooth and efficient hiring of staff both on an interim and permanent placement. You will work closely with the HR Manager and department heads, providing support in all aspects of the recruitment process from job advertising to onboarding new employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Recruitment Campaigns: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial candidate assessments.
  • Liaise with Departments: Work collaboratively with department heads to understand their staffing needs and provide timely recruitment support as well as attending, staffing meetings.
  • Candidate Engagement: Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Onboarding: Assist in preparing and delivering induction sessions, ensuring new hires are well-integrated.
  • Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure all recruitment processes comply with relevant legislation and best practices, including right to work checks, references, and DBS etc

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a recruitment role (preferably in an educational setting or similar environment).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates.
  • Organisation: Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in recruitment processes.
  • IT Proficiency: Competent in using Microsoft Office and good on social media.
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a close-knit team.
