Our client, a well-respected NHS organisation in Plymouth, is looking for a People Advisor to come on board on a Permanent basis to provide ER casework support.

Location: Plymouth (Hybrid Remote)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £28,407 - £34,581 (DOE Agenda for Change Pay Scales Band 5)

Day to Day Duties: (Full JD available upon request)

  • Act as a first point of contact in providing proactive, professional and specialist HR advice to managers and employees across the organisation on a range of topics including employee relations, recruitment and selection, reward and benefits, workforce planning
  • Advise and support managers in managing absence, discipline and grievance, capability issues and management of change.
  • This may include participation in meetings and on occasions advising managers at hearings where complex and sensitive information is communicated.
  • Work in partnership with managers to develop effective solutions to HR management issues through the effective use of questioning, listening, persuasion and negotiating skills.
  • Support the development of managers' people management skills through advice, coaching and training.
  • Interprets and reviews changes to employment legislation and uses this knowledge to contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies
  • To provide clear and professional advice to managers across all business areas on terms and conditions of employment, HR policies and procedures, employment legislation and good people management practice
  • Contribute to HR policy development and implementation, including recommending therelevant changes to existing HR policies

Essential Skills:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent breadth of experience and training acquired through a combination of qualifications, training and on-the-job experience in a relevant field
