Network HR are pleased to be presenting an exclusive HR Generalist role to the market on behalf of an excellent Financial services firm to be based from their Central London office. Reporting into the Head of HR, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR function, whilst partnering with the business to deliver people focussed and commercial outcomes. The successful HR Generalist will need to be in the detail, whilst also working closely with the Head of HR to develop and deliver the overall people strategy. Responsibilities will include:

  • Employee relations & advisory; act as a sounding board and provide advice and guidance to managers and individuals
  • Build the capability of managers through effective coaching and mentoring to maximise potential and continually and consistently raise the bar on performance
  • Recruitment; manage and administer the recruitment process globally, working closely with the business to ensure successful hires are made
  • Performance Management; lead the delivery of the performance review cycle, including regular feedback cycle and objective setting. Contribute to the development of an effective performance management strategy
  • Policies and Processes; establish, manage, and document global HR policies and processes, ensuring they are forward thinking and reflect our culture
  • Learning and Development; lead on L&D initiatives, development programmes and internal learning curriculum. Provide advice and guidance on options available
  • Employee engagement; facilitate employee engagement discussions and contribute to developing action plans as a result of survey feedback
  • Compensation Review; support the Head of HR & Reward & People Data Analyst with the annual compensation review and implementation of new reward structures
  • HR operations; oversee day to day operations, including employee contracts, new starters & leaver requirement, working closely with the Finance team, IT, Compliance and Office support team to ensure the onboarding and offboarding processes are delivered seamlessly
  • SMCR; support the Compliance team with the fit and proper process for new starters under SMCR;
  • HR Projects & initiatives; manage or contribute to projects as required

The successful HR Generalist will need the following:

  • Prior experience in a broad operational HR role within the Financial Services space
  • Strong HR Generalist skill set
  • Able to deal with complexity and not easily overwhelmed.
  • Good judgement and a logical problem solver.
