Conveyancing Assistant

We are currently seeking a Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join our clients busy legal team. This role is perfect for individuals with a keen interest in property law and a desire to further their career within a supportive and professional environment. The Conveyancing Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in managing the legal aspects of the conveyancing process from initial instruction through to completion.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist conveyancers in managing caseloads of property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
  • Prepare and manage legal documents and contracts related to property transactions.
  • Conduct property searches, check Land Registry documents, and liaise with local councils.
  • Handle correspondence and communications with clients, solicitors, and other parties involved in property transactions.
  • Maintain and update case management systems and client files accurately.
  • Assist in resolving client queries and provide regular updates on the progress of transactions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, preferably within conveyancing or property law.
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and property law.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using legal case management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
  • Educational background in Law or related fields is advantageous.
