Technical Procurement Manager
North Kent
Monday – Friday 40 hours per week
Temporary 12-month assignment
£45,000 DOE
Fantastic stand alone position for a strong, process driven Purchasing Manager to join a manufacturing company offering the opportunity to take ownership of all Purchasing activities
Duties include:
- Preparing all
control system quotations.
- Building fantastic relationships
with suppliers, including researching new options for the business
- Preparing control systems technical submittals
- Purchasing stock/ control system materials
- Negotiating prices
- Extensive accurate reporting
- Deploying
PLC/SCADA
applications for control system projects.
- Being alert to market changes in terms of
cost
- Develop and research new and existing supply chains.
You will have/be:
- Strong, solid Purchasing experience
at a senior level from a
Manufacturing backgroun
d
- The ability to work independently
- Good working knowledge of
Allen Bradley PLC
and
SCADA.
- ComAp, Deep-sea generator control knowledge.
- Experience in
generator automation commissioning/ development (Rockwell automation, SCADA systems)
- Good working knowledge in
Electrical installation/ Automation controls
- Able and willing to work from the office – no hybrid working due to industry
- The ability to
assimilate technical information
with ease
- A proven track record in developing a good working relationship with suppliers
- Numerate with a good grasp on accurate reporting
- An excellent communicator
