Local Handyman
Location: Denham
Part-time: 7.30am to 2pm
Salary: £14 per hour
A smashing role has become available for a Part Time Handyman in the local area. We would love to hear from candidates who have some previous experience in a similar role and are looking for a permanent, long-term position, with a stable and trustworthy business. If you are happy being out and about and would enjoy assisting in the upkeep of the local community, this could be the perfect role for you.
Role Responsibilities:
- Sweep and clean Denham's bus shelters, removing rubbish and debris
- Empty rubbish bins in the play areas
- Check play equipment for signs of damage and wear and tear, making minor repairs as necessary
- Strim edges and borders around the Lime trees in the Way and Tillard Cricket Ground, and other areas as needed
- Trim back branches
- Clean and dispose of debris and overgrowth
- Take rubbish to the tip as necessary
- Carry out emergency tasks, e.g., fallen tree branches, broken locks, damaged play equipment, clear broken glass
- Clean street signs in 30mph roads
- Litter picking and street cleaning
- Assist with set up and set down at events
- Put up and take down banners
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in maintenance and repair jobs.
- Experience in a trade such as carpentry or gardening is desirable.
- Training can be provided for general maintenance including Health and Safety.
- Own transport to carry out tasks
- Ownership of tools required, though some tools and consumables will be provided as needed
- Ability to travel to the waste disposal site to dispose of rubbish regularly
- Ability to work on own initiative
