£25,000 per annum

Location: Remote

We are looking for a graduate developer with a good technical degree to join our IT team to maintain and extend our existing suite of websites, applications and services.

Our environment is developer-focussed, learning-oriented and based on the principles of the Agile Manifesto. We use a wide variety of technologies including PHP, C#, ASP .NET, SQL Server and Microsoft Azure. We encourage new ideas and value fresh opinions on how we can keep our business ahead of the game by delivering innovative solutions to complex problems.

This is an exciting opportunity to advance your technical skills as well as your business understanding. We will support you in your learning and provide you with a platform to demonstrate your creative approach to problem solving.

Your skills

  • First class Computer Science degree (achieved/predicted) from a top 100 university
  • A passion for learning, technology, and continual improvement
  • Some understanding of Object Orientated and use of an OOP language
  • Some of the following skills - SQL Server and/or MySQL, C#, PHP, jQuery, CSS, MVC, Azure,
  • Strong communication skills, excellent teamwork skills and drive to succeed as a team
  • An ability to stay focused and concentrated to deliver great results
  • Enjoyment of the detective work side of coding, using strong analysis and problem-solving skills to get to the root cause of an issue
  • The ability to communicate with all kinds of people and interpret issues as you will be working with users from across the business
  • Excellent attention to detail - you will be working on business-critical solutions
  • Great level of responsibility for the work being delivered and being able to estimate the potential impact of the implemented solution on the business

In return for your hard work you will receive a starting salary up to £25,000, with the ability to work fully remotely. If you live closer to the Essex offices and want to attend hybrid, that's an option as well. Flexible hours for appointments / commitments. Annual bonus and ongoing salary reviews.
