About our client:

We are pleased to be working with a leading charity dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with brain injuries in the UK as they seek a Principal Psychologist to join their highly regarded service in Llanelli. This role involves providing strategic and professional leadership to a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality neuropsychological care to individuals with cognitive, physical, and emotional challenges following severe brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative, evidence-based neuropsychological rehabilitation practices.
  • Conduct specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessments, develop collaborative treatment plans, and oversee their implementation within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide clinical leadership, support, and guidance to a team of Assistant Psychologists, Rehabilitation Support Workers, and other therapy professionals.
  • Contribute to service development by liaising with referrers, promoting approach to neurorehabilitation, and ensuring compliance with clinical governance and CQC standards.
  • Engage in research and evaluation projects to enhance service delivery and maintain high standards of clinical practice.

Qualifications:

  • A good honours degree in Psychology (2:2 or above) and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited).
  • Postgraduate training in Neuropsychology through an accredited route for the QiCN (e.g., PG Dip).
  • Experience in providing neuropsychological assessment and intervention, preferably within a neurorehabilitation setting.
