Credit Risk Manager Position Overview:

I am looking to speak with experienced and results-driven Credit Risk Manager. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership in Credit Control: Manage processes involving company administrators and Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) with expertise and precision.
  • Innovative Process Improvement: Spearhead enhancements in cash collection, allocation, and customer query management, driving continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Maintain and enhance procedural documentation, ensuring full compliance with legislation and industry best practices.
  • Maximize Cash Collection: Implement strategies to boost cash collection activities and significantly reduce bad debt exposure.
  • Sales & Risk Optimization: Collaborate with Sales teams to optimize sales while managing bad debt risk effectively.
  • Insightful Reporting: Deliver detailed monthly and weekly reports to the Financial Controller and Senior Leadership Team, providing valuable insights.
  • Audit Excellence: Play a key role in supporting internal and external audit processes.
  • Risk Management Expertise: Review, enhance, and implement risk management policies and protocols.
  • Team Development: Cultivate a high-performing team through regular appraisals, objective setting, and ongoing support.
  • Efficient Workload Management: Ensure effective workload allocation and management within the team.
  • KPI Excellence: Monitor and review team KPIs to drive performance.
  • Proactive Performance Management: Address performance issues promptly and with sensitivity.
  • Effective Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication within the team.
  • Customer-Centric Negotiations: Negotiate payment plans with customers and resolve escalated queries professionally.
  • Debt Risk Insurance: Utilize your experience in managing debt risk insurance.

Collaboration:

Internal:

  • Engage with Sales, Sales Support, MS Operations, MS Licensing, Rebates, Legal, Development, and IT teams to drive success.

External:

  • Build strong relationships with Auditors, Customers, Suppliers, and Vendors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: GCSE passes with a minimum of A - C in maths; AAT/ACCA/CIMA Qualification ESSENTIAL.

  • Experience: At least 5 years in Credit Control ESSENTIAL.

  • Skills:

  • Proven team management experience.

  • Expertise in developing and implementing new credit control processes and policies.

  • Distribution and vendor experience.

  • Advanced Excel proficiency.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in customer negotiations.

  • Proven credit analysis experience with the ability to interpret financial accounts.

Success Measures:

  • Average Debtor Days: Maintain at 40 or below, showcasing your efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative finance team environment for optimal results.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the finance department adheres to all accounting regulations.
