Store Operations Workday Assistant

An exciting opportunity to join the National Store Operations Committee - supporting the heart of our business by providing assistance to the Workday Team by advising Store Operation Directors, Area Managers, and Store Operations Assistants, with processes completed on Workday.

The role will include supporting the Aldi business and shaping the future to deliver support to all of Store Operations on our Workday Platform.

The role will be based out of our BOL Office as this is where HR is located. This will support not only your transition into the new role, but also provide you with additional resources as our Workday Functional Leads work out of this office.

The individuals will work closely with our Operations Colleagues, and the Workday Team in Bolton to communicate consistent issues arising and create solutions through additional training or new user guides to improve compliance and accuracy within the system.

Your New Role

  • Provide a comprehensive and professional support service to Store Operations.
  • Ensure the appropriate communication channel is used to get information to the correct audience in time for it to be actioned.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal business stakeholders, responding to requests in a polite and professional manner.
  • Ensure the successful and timely completion of tasks, projects, audits, presentations, memos, minutes, and reports delegated to them by their Direct Leader.
  • Ability to provide effective communication via Microsoft Teams to support Store Operations and feedback to HR.
  • Tasks could include completing audits, running reports, analysis and insights to improve Workday compliance for Store Operations.
  • Ensure attendance at all related weekly and monthly meetings to provide updates as needed.
  • Providing training to multiple stakeholders including but not limited to Store Managers, Area Managers, Store Operations Assistants, Managing Director PA's, and Store Operations Directors.
  • Assisting the Workday team in creating user guides through identifying knowledge gaps and areas with persistent incompliance.
  • Assigning and maintaining accurate security groups for Store Operations.
  • Assisting the Workday team with testing of the digital adoption platform.

About You

  • High level of experience using Workday
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced project environment with a proven track record.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels in multiple locations.
  • Ability to work upon your own initiative effectively and efficiently.
  • Adaptable and flexible - change management skills are crucial to project success.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK & Ireland.
  • Strong understanding of working within Workday.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and service line agreements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate as a team with members based in separate regions.
  • Understanding the importance of GDPR policies.
  • Ability to analyse data to provide key information to support project goals.
  • Expertise in Workday beyond daily tasks to include advanced processes such as reporting, security management and the ability to spot issues within Workday while completing tasks.

  • 23 month fixed term contract
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
