My Client is an award-winning communications agency advising over 90 clients globally. They specialise in multi-disciplinary campaigns including global advocacy campaigns. Focusing on cutting-edge technologies in energy, transport, nature, and climate finance. As a vibrant, independent, and fast-growing agency, they've tripled in size in the last 5 years and are committed to being a force for good as a B Corp.

The role:

My client is seeking a visionary Head of Innovation to drive and expand their global initiatives, with a focus on energy and clean tech sectors.

As the Head of Innovation, you'll be spearheading groundbreaking campaigns for leading technology pioneers, NGOs, and governments worldwide. You'll be instrumental in developing a portfolio of innovation leaders across various sectors and geographies. This leadership role involves securing new business, expanding global reach, and building a dynamic, high-performing team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing creative communication strategies.
  • Overseeing impactful, multi-disciplinary global campaigns.
  • Contributing to business growth through strategic, ambitious, and commercial initiatives.
  • Translating complex ideas into engaging campaigns that achieve significant impact.

The profile:

The successful candidate will ideally have an agency background (although this is not essential) with extensive experience in energy, clean tech, and technology innovation. They will possess expertise in multi-disciplinary and global communications, demonstrating a proven ability to secure new clients and grow business. Experience in leading global communication campaigns is essential, along with the ability to advise and lead C-Suite clients, managing relationships, accounts, and teams effectively. Strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment and financial management of client accounts are crucial. Additionally, a deep understanding of global energy and tech issues, policy, and technology is required.

The candidate should be passionate about making a positive impact on climate change and the world, with aspirations to build a world-leading clean energy practice. They must be focused on achieving tangible results for clients, confident in leading, inspiring, and supporting teams and actions, and exhibit a positive, committed, and collaborative attitude.

The offer:

The position offers a salary of £80-100K depending on experience the value you can add to the role. Benefits include flexible working hours with 2-3 days per week in the office, 25 days holiday plus your birthday and days between Christmas and New Year, and additional paid holiday for Slow Travel (non-flight travel). The package also includes private healthcare and a cash plan, an ethical pension scheme, a personal budget per year for creative development.
