A "good" Ofsted-rated school in Northampton is looking for an exceptional Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2024. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a love for mathematics among students.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and well-planned Maths lessons, with a strong focus on differentiation to meet the needs of all students.
  • Employ Assessment for Learning strategies to enhance the learning experience and outcomes.
  • Set challenging tasks that inspire student interest and contribute to raising standards of attainment, behaviour, and achievement.
  • Focus on developing the full potential of every student through well-aligned lessons with the agreed classes/courses.
  • Foster independence and control over their learning journey by valuing the skills, interests, and experiences of students.
  • Maintain a stimulating learning environment within the teaching area.
  • Develop a wide variety of practical, oral, personal, social, and academic skills within the student community.
  • Collaborate with other staff and departments to provide a coherent curriculum for students.
  • Ensure good discipline among students, recognising and praising progress.
  • Mark, assess, and moderate students' coursework in line with the requirements of the examination boards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A strong academic record in Mathematics.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • In-school teaching experience, gained through Teacher training.
  • Knowledge of the Curriculum and SEN Code of Practice.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
