Assistant Partnership Accountant
Up to £65k with hybrid working

A leading global law firm with over 600 lawyers is seeking an Assistant Partnership Accountant to join the Partnership & Tax team. This team manages partners' financial and tax affairs, oversees the firm's international financial structure, and handles global tax submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage partner payments, including monthly drawings and ad-hoc payments.
- Maintain and update partner records, including "Joiner/Leaver" processes.
- Reconcile partners' capital, tax, and suspense accounts.
- Prepare year-end financial statements and tax calculations.
- Run partner performance reports, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in developing and improving processes to enhance the team's efficiency.
- Support international branch accountants and handle partner queries.
- Collaborate with the Partner Finance Manager and cover key tasks when needed.
Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience with partner remuneration and tax in a legal environment.
- Proficiency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, complex formulas); VBA skills are a plus.
- Experience using legal software such as Elite 3E or Aderant.
- Strong understanding of double-entry accounting and ability to analyse General Ledger transactions.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A fast learner with a proactive attitude and good organisational skills.
