Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support KS1 students in a lovely 3 form entry Primary School in Warrington. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and creating a positive learning environment. This position will be from 8.30am to 3.30pm, 5 days per week, from September to Christmas, at a rate of £90 per day.
Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons for KS1 students
- Support individual students with their learning and development, including those who may require additional assistance
- Help to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom and behavior management
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning materials
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting
- Knowledge and understanding of the KS1 curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the classroom
Day-to-day
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons
- Assist with organizing and supervising activities and outings
- Help to maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Support the teacher in assessing and recording student progress
