This role would suit someone who has previously worked as a Continuous Improvement or Process Engineer within a Foundry/Castings/Iron Castings environment.
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will employ improvements in safety, efficiency, utilisation and housekeeping. You will also implement best practice solutions (gating and feeding) to optimise yield and reduce non-value-added processing or activities (cutting, grinding, transporting etc).
In your first few weeks in this Continuous Improvement Engineer role, you can expect to:
- Optimise methods of manufacturing and layout of tooling/ rigging
- Upgrade and maintain NPI to ensure all manufacturing data is logged, with finishing instructions and packaging
- Liaise with subcontract tooling engineers and pattern-shops
