The Server Security & Operations Specialist needs to be aproactive and reliable individual to oversee the security and patch management of around 800 servers across the EMEA region. This role includes remote work and coordination with on-site teams as needed. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining processes to update systems that have missed automated updates, either manually or through automation. Regular interaction with various teams is crucial to ensure timely updates of software and agents with minimal impact on business operations.

The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, basic Active Directory, and practical experience with other operating systems such as Linux and IBM. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data presentation is essential. Familiarity with security tools like QUALYS and/or PALO ALTO CORTEX is beneficial. The role requires daily reporting on server security status, focusing on security and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT teams locally and internationally, using service management tools to:

  • Identify and fix unpatched and insecure servers and endpoints.

  • Generate daily and real-time security status reports for servers.

  • Ensure the installation of security tools and agents with the support of an asset management system.

  • Suggest efficiency improvements within the Security Operations team.

  • Assist with asset management, including IT equipment and software licences.

  • Participate in special projects, support departmental leadership, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least three years of experience in patching, installing security tools, and remediation in a technical support or server administration role that includes data management and presentation.
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to work proactively and possess strong interpersonal skills.
