Our client, a renowned university in Glasgow, is seeking a skilled Project Manager with a strong focus on engineering contracts and compliance to join their dynamic team. Project Manager - The Role:

Our client is currently undertaking a significant capital project aimed at enhancing their facilities. In this role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to manage various specialist engineering contracts, ensuring they meet all legislative requirements. You will oversee building services and infrastructure maintenance contracts, prepare tender documents and cost estimates, and ensure successful project delivery from start to finish.

Project Manager - Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for engineering projects
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all contract terms and conditions related to engineering services
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  • Liaise with legal, finance, and procurement teams to manage contract negotiations and amendments
  • Identify and mitigate project risks related to engineering contracts and compliance
  • Ensure all projects meet internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress, compliance status, and risk management
  • Manage building services and infrastructure maintenance contracts
  • Prepare tender documents and cost estimates for engineering projects

Project Manager - You:

  • HNC/HND level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in project management with a focus on engineering contracts and compliance, ideally with a construction background
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, regulatory standards, and compliance practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
