We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Manager to oversee our clients' manufacturing operations in High Wycombe. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing production processes, optimising efficiency, and ensuring product quality. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, manage, and implement production schedules to meet customer demand.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and quality control departments to ensure smooth production workflows.
  • Monitor production processes and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Optimise resource utilisation to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement quality control standards.
  • Manage and develop production staff, enhancing their skills and productivity.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and processes to improve production capabilities.
  • Analyse production data and reports to track performance against targets and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of production processes, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve production targets and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in interacting with all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and project management tools/software.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Six Sigma or similar certification is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
