Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working with this successful growth business based near Wetherby, to appoint to a newly created Management Accountant (Junior Business Partner) opportunity to the team.
Reporting to Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for the production of management accounts and adding value to the operational business. The role would suit a part/finalist stage studier or someone newly qualified who is looking for an opportunity to take responsibility for end to end management accounts production with development into a Business Partner role.
Your duties would include:
- Producing monthly management accounts, profit and loss and balance sheets including all associated reconciliations.
- Assisting with the preparation of the budgets.
- Assisting with the preparation of the rolling 12 monthly forecast.
- Accurately preparing/reviewing the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Working with Operational Managers to maintain cost control within the group budgets and reporting on their monthly variances.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the nominal ledger system.
- Developing weekly reporting of KPI's to management outlining key concerns over performance or improvement areas.
- Ensuring adherence to all internal processes and procedures and assist in the development of financial controls.
- Adhoc project work as it arises.
You need to be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified/final stage studier.
- IT literate with excellent numeracy skills and advance Excel.
- Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple workloads simultaneously.
- Professional, a team player, someone who wants to be involved and not phased by change.
Salary dependent on skills and experience but c£45k plus a generous benefits package.
