My client is a leader in the procurement supply chain sector, they are seeking a talented and dedicated Demand Planner to join them on a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract.
As the Demand Planner, you will collaborate with the retail operations and commercial teams to ensure stores have the right products and stock to maximise sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously improve forecasting models to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Gather market insights from relevant parties to support the forecasting model
- Attend trading meetings with internal and external clients
- Analyse forecast accuracy and enhance the model for future use
- Manage various product categories for concession stores
- Build short- and long-term demand forecasts across assigned product ranges
- Monitor and analyse forecasts in collaboration with factories, retail sales, marketing, and product divisions
- Provide store sales forecasts to purchasing teams to ensure sufficient stock procurement
- Maintain relationships with supply chain teams to ensure stock allocation aligns with forecasts
- Negotiate with supply chain teams during peak trading periods or stock shortages to meet demand
Skills and Attributes:
- Experience in supply chain, demand planning, and forecasting
- Knowledge of advanced planning techniques such as S&OP and capacity planning
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Analytical mindset
Experience:
- Experience in the relevant industry
- Supply Chain, Demand Planning and forecasting experience within a retail, FMCG business
