This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Global Reward Director to join a 20,000 headcount organisation reporting into the Group Reward Director and with a global remit. The role is based in the West End of London and will have a full RoW geographic remit.

Our client is a leading player in the B2B food commodities industry with over 20,000 employees across the globe. They have plans to list on the London Stock Exchange in the near term and have in the past 3 years opened a new West End HQ, established a UK based C-Suite management team and have hired an experienced FTSE 100 Group Reward Director. They are a company that provide the B2B commodities behind many of the globally recognised B2C products we as consumers recognise well.

Description

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Total Rewards / Group Reward Director you will be responsible for managing the provision of an effective and professional compensation service for company employees in the Rest of World regions (APAC, EMENA, Africa, LatAm)

Working closely with HR Business Partners, HR CoEs and other members of the Total Rewards and senior management team you will implement and maintain the company's total reward programmes ranging from base salary management to variable pay and share awards.

Example Global Reward Director Tasks:

  • Manage compensation data analysis and monitor the competitiveness of compensation plans. Work with local HR to ensure legal compliance where necessary.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of market trends, including salary data, bonus structures, and benefits offered by competitors.
  • Apply commercial thinking and understanding of the business and HR, to provide pragmatic and informed solutions and ideas that meet both the business needs and fit with the HR agenda.
  • Act as an 'Internal Consultant' in order to establish efficient compensation processes that align global initiatives with local practice.
  • Identify opportunities for and deliver learning to develop the knowledge and understanding of HR colleagues and people managers.
  • Manage the job evaluation / job sizing process and job pricing through a number of databases.
  • Support the budgeting process for reward programmes where required.
  • Partner with vendors for management of reward programmes.
  • Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with employees about their compensation packages and answer any questions they may have.
  • Support other projects on the Total Rewards agenda at a global level.

Profile

A successful Global Reward Director could have the following experience / attributes:

  • A focus on continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work 'up' to the C-Suite as well as more junior colleagues.
  • Experience working within a global MNC with a Matrix structure.
  • Experience working with both 'exec' white collar workforce as well as lower paid / blue collar employees.
  • An ability to deal with ambiguity and being a self directed person given when firm is in company structure development.
  • Happy to roll sleeves up and be involved in the real detail as well as the strategic side.
