Are you ready to advance your career in healthcare We are seeking compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistants to join an In-Patient Unit and Community Team.

Position: Senior Healthcare Assistant (Band 3)
Location: Letchworth, Hertfordshire
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full and Part-Time (Up to 37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £22,977 - £24,610 per annum plus enhancements

About the Role

In this role, you'll provide personalised and holistic care to patients and their families, making a real difference in their lives. You'll support patients in their personal care, participate in care planning, and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.

You will be responsible for admitting patients, assisting in all aspects of personal care while maintaining dignity and privacy, and ensuring clear communication with the team. You will uphold safety standards and promote a caring, inclusive environment while following the Hospice's policies and procedures.

About You

We are looking for individuals who are caring, dedicated, and experienced in healthcare settings. You should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and be committed to the dignity and well-being of patients. Experience in providing personal care and working with patients with life-limiting illnesses is desirable.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in personal care within a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet shift patterns.
  • Understanding of the physical and emotional needs of patients and families.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Although not essential, an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care would be beneficial for this role.
