Reed Education is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a dynamic team in Lancaster. This full-time role requires an immediate start and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting learning and behaviour management at secondary school levels.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide targeted support to students with behavioural challenges, promoting positive behaviour and engagement with learning.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement strategies for behaviour management and support individual learning plans.
- Monitor and report on the progress of students, adapting support strategies to meet their evolving needs.
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Assist with the development and delivery of intervention programmes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Behaviour Support Assistant.
- Recent relevant experience supporting at KS3 and KS4; experience with KS5 would be advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
