Private Client Tax Assistant Manager

As a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager you would joining a well-established private client team within an award winning top UK practice, providing efficient, client-focused and proactive service to a range of clients, including; HNWIs, OMBs, Non-Doms and UK/Offshore Trusts.

Responsibilities will include:

    • Manage the self assessment compliance process for certain strategically important, high value, and/or technically complex clients, with support from colleagues where appropriate
  • Build up a wide understanding of your clients' tax affairs, to support the provision of both reactive and proactive advice that takes into account the full context, and to mitigate compliance risk

  • Take responsibility for certain ad-hoc compliance projects, including voluntary disclosures under the Worldwide Disclosure Facility and HMRC enquiries, typically having cross-border elements

  • Prepare IHT100 inheritance tax returns for relevant property settlements

  • Take opportunities to delegate work to junior staff and support their development by providing timely, constructive feedback

  • Identify tax planning opportunities as appropriate

  • Assist on consultancy projects and carry out research projects

The successful individual should have experience of providing private client tax planning services, be capable of supervising staff and pose the ability to work effectively to tight deadlines. ACA or CTA is desired but the ability to demonstrate the appropriate level of experience is key. Minimum 3 years experience.
