Our client, based in Yeovil (BA20), have an exciting opportunity for a Production Controller and are seeking an experienced individual to take on this position. The Production Controller plays a pivotal part in the process of manufacturing and production of Helicopters and parts, which are shipped both in the UK and all across the world. This is a full-time temporary position working 37 hours per week. This includes half a day on Friday! This is a 12 months contract.
The Production Controller will be involved with:

Production Order Management to:
-
Finalise the rework and labour only production orders, ensuring all operations are clocked.

Update production order status/ comments where applicable i.e. quarantine.

Action shop queries e.g. serial number issues.

Shortages & Kitting to:
-
Run shortage reviews with other departments to expedite and prioritise parts and review forecasts against requirements.

Identify any risk associated with shortages or deliveries and escalate as appropriate.

Completing other activities to support the manufacturing shops as requested.
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified to relevant Higher National Certificate or relevant work experience
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and an overview of MRP and material supply
- Working knowledge of SAP within material management and production planning modules
- Computer Literate (particularly in Excel) and strong communication skills
