We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Physics Teacher to join our team in South West London. This role is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to the academic success and development of our students.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum for Physics, contributing to the development of the subject at all levels.
- Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as both a teacher and a form tutor.
- Provide a stimulating learning environment that facilitates students' individual potential.
- Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and track their progress.
- Engage in operational and strategic planning, including lesson planning, resource development, and syllabus enhancement.
- Participate in staff development, performance management reviews, and continuous professional development.
- Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Act as a form tutor, guiding and supporting students' pastoral needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Experience in teaching at secondary level, ideally including in multi-ethnic urban schools and within an 11-18 age range.
- Understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain positive relationships.
- Proficient ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards.
- Capability to create a motivating and safe learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong leadership, time management, and motivational skills.
