The EHS Specialist will play a critical role in the leading & ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all team members. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of EHS regulations, a proactive approach to risk management and excellent communication skills.

My client is a major player in their industry with over 2000 employees across various locations in the UK. Based in Derbyshire, they produce and distribute a wide range of popular consumer goods and are dedicated to maintaining a high standard of environmental health and safety (EHS) at their manufacturing facilities.

Description

  • Implementing and monitoring EHS policies and regulations.
  • Conducting regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Identifying potential hazards and implementing preventive measures.
  • Providing EHS training to employees.
  • Ensuring compliance with all local and national EHS regulations.
  • Assisting in incident investigations and reporting.
  • Coordinating with team members and management to improve EHS performance.
  • Promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.

Monday - Friday Days Based

Profile

A successful EHS Specialist should have:

  • Recognised qualification in Health & Safety (i.e. IOSH, NEBOSH etc.)
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in risk management and incident response.
  • Ability to train and influence others on EHS practices.
