I am currently recruiting for a renewable company, who require a renewable technician ASAP.

Job Type:Full-time, Permanent.

Location:Bristol/Southwest.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine and reactive maintenance on all types of renewable heating and hot water systems (ASHP, GSHP, and Solar Thermal).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot heating system issues.
  • Able to work independently on own initiatives, as well as work as part of a team.
  • Respect the customers properties and to complete all work in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and all relevant industry standards (including basic risk assessments)
  • Responsible for managing company vehicle, including its cleanliness (inside and out) and van stock levels.
  • Always be a company ambassador and able to demonstrate a high level of customer service.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working on heat-pumps and other renewable technologies.
  • Strong knowledge in servicing/commissioning, fault finding and problem solving on heat pumps and other renewable technologies.
  • Knowledge of leading manufacturers such as: Daikin, Mitsubishi, Valliant etc.
  • MCS knowledge.
  • F-Gas trained or previous experience (not essential as training will be provided).
  • Competent with electrics and hydraulics.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience of the requirements of health and safety legislation, including the use of workplace risk assessments.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • DASHP Level 3 domestic air source heat pumps
  • DGSHP Level 3 domestic ground source heat-pumps
  • UHWSS G3 unvented hot water, commission and install
  • Full driving license (maximum six penalty points)
  • General IT skills, the candidate will be required to complete documentation related to work activities, which include the use of mobile devices such as iPad and/or laptops.

Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • STHWS (Level 3 solar thermal hot water systems)
  • 18th edition or Part P electrical qualifications and will be a distinct advantage
  • Accredited Gas Certification Scheme including, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1
  • OFTEC (OFT10-101, OFT10-105E and OFT10-600a
