Academics have an exciting opportunity for you to join an amazing secondary school in Basingstoke which caters for students with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and autistic spectrum condition (ASC).

The are looking to appoint a Safeguarding, Welfare and Attendance Manager (SWAM) to become part of their growing team. This is a permanent position starting ASAP, working 42.5 hours per week, salary is between £33,945 - £37,336.

Its a great time to join a school who Ofsted viewed as 'Outstanding' for their cutting edge and transformational approaches to educating students with ASC and SEMH.

To be considered for the role of Safeguarding, Welfare and Attendance Manager, you must have previous training/experience within a safeguarding/attendance role/Social Services/Police, have GCSE Maths and English grades between A-C and having a good understanding of attendance protocols.

This role is suited to someone who is able to remain calm under pressure, be patient, empathetic, build strong relationships with young people and understand and respect the need for confidentiality.
