Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with a dynamic company that are on an impressive growth curve. To assist with that growth, they are now looking to hire an experienced Buyer to add to their supply chain team.
About the Role:
- Source new suppliers, vetting them for product quality and service as well as cost effectiveness
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to support these findings
- Continuously monitor supplier performance and conduct regular supplier audits, inline with agreed service levels
- Negotiate favourable prices and contract terms with suppliers
- Liaise with stakeholders both internally and externally on new projects.
- Stay up to date with current market trends and identify new opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering
partnerships based on trust, reliability, and mutual benefits.
- Perform related admin duties associated with the role, such as POs and invoices and creating BOMs.
About the Candidate:
- Previous experience of purchasing within a manufacturing setting
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
A can-do attitude with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively
Qualification in CIPs is preferred but not essential
