LEGAL ADVISER - INITIAL 6 MONTH - INSIDE IR35 - PART TIME POSITION/1 DAY PER WEEK
One of Loriens Public Sector clients is looking to bring on a highly skilled Legal Adviser to their team on an initial 6 month contract with good chance of extension.
Essential skills
- An appropriate legal qualification.
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to consumers and consumer bodies.
- Ability to analyse and interpret legislation, and to explain legal concepts in a clear and understandable way.
- Excellent stakeholder, relationship building and communication skills to engage internally and externally.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and plan workload.
- Ability to work collaboratively and constructively with colleagues across the organisation as necessary.
- Ability to work under pressure, managing a portfolio of work and ability to manage scrutiny from third parties
Desirable Skills
- A demonstrable track record of providing specialist in-house legal support and advice within a consumer or other public body.
- Understanding and experience of consumer policy, consumer protection and/or regulatory issues.
- Knowledge and understanding of the consumer advocacy, information and advice landscape in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK.
- Knowledge and understanding of public bodies in Scotland and their duties and functions.
