Role: Product Manager
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Are you passionate about managing products and driving business growth? Our client, a leading company in the Chemicals industry, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Product Manager to join their team in Doncaster.
As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in managing the purchasing process, analysing sales statistics, building supplier relationships, and developing marketing plans.
For this outstanding opportunity, experience in the Chemical sector is essential, ideally within a Chemical distributor.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key principles and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and manage the purchasing process.
- Analyse monthly sales and purchasing statistics and identify opportunities for repeat business.
- Negotiate new and existing supplier contracts, building and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels to meet market demands and price fluctuations.
- Prepare marketing plans and work closely with the sales team to promote product ranges to customers.
- Stay up to date with market trends, pricing, and market dynamics, and utilise this knowledge to make informed decisions.
- Support sourcing initiatives to maintain a stable supply of products and manage the supply chain effectively.
- Identify gaps in the product portfolio and work towards product range expansion and improvement.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and conduct in-depth market analysis.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role within the Chemicals industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse sales/purchasing data and market trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Proactive attitude, able to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with procurement software is a plus.
Our client offers a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for personal and professional development.
