Collections Agent
Salary: £25,000 DOE + Bonus

The Opportunity
This opportunity comes from the second fastest growing debt management company in the UK. With over 60 years' experience, they're now looking to strengthen the Sheffield team and develop new opportunities for individuals working in the collections division. You'll be based in a large open-plan office with a great environment and plenty of opportunity to get involved in events, Wellness Wednesdays and other fun-days.
The Role
Working with some of the largest retail, banking and commercial companies, you'll be handling a multitude of telephone calls to arrange payment of outstanding debts. Handling potentially difficult conversations, you'll record accurate notes of conversations, and any agreement of payments. Further to this, you will:
- Communicate terms and conditions of repayment agreements clearly
- Handle accurate data entry of customer payment details
- Follow key processes to ensure service delivery is to a high standard
The Ideal Candidate
It goes without saying that you'll have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, along with strong problem-solving abilities. Leaning on your previous collection experience, you'll be comfortable working towards targets in a fast-paced environment. Further to this, you'll have:
- Strong IT skills with the ability to learn new systems
- Confidence with outgoing telephone skills
- Clear communication with varying types of customers
- The ability to be proactive in assisting customers with their queries
- Empathy when dealing with customers
