Role Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the primary school team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping students achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the educational journey of pupils and become a valued member of the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and resources.
Set up and tidy classrooms before and after lessons.
Work with students to ensure they understand and engage with the taught lessons.
Observe, record, and report on the progress and development of students.
Provide care and support to children who are upset or unwell.
Lead classes with the support and guidance of the teacher.
Work with small groups of students to provide additional support, including those with special educational needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Basic understanding of the primary curriculum.
A proactive approach to supporting the learning and well-being of students.
